Megan McLaughlin is an innovative guitar player, singer, and songwriter. She has a clear, powerful voice and sings like the love child of Joni Mitchell and David Crosby. She plays in standard, DADGAD and CGDGCD tunings. Megan busked on the streets of Paris, then studied guitar with Nina Gerber when love brought her to California in the ‘90s. Megan fronts the popular folk band The Musers (www.themusersband.com).
Ben James — an award-winning singer, songwriter and storyteller — lives in Santa Cruz with his wife Judy and Bouna the blues-singing dog. Ben tours California, playing at every opportunity including numerous gigs at San Francisco Bay Area farmers’ markets. He is working on a new CD produced by Keith Greeninger at the famed Wind River recording studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The CD, which will include tracks with Keith, Nina Gerber and other notable Monterey Bay Area artists, will be released in summer of 2025.
Inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman, among others, Glenn MacPherson began playing guitar at age twelve. He performs with several bands around the San Francisco Bay Area. Glenn is also an award-winning songwriter, taking top honors at Sisters Folk Fest, Fast Folk in NYC, the Mars Studio Songwriting Competition in Santa Cruz and others. With over a dozen tunes published by Sony-Universal, Glenn’s songs can be heard on TV, in movies and on radio, including NPR.
