Benny Bleu Haravitch plays old time banjo in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York, a region defined by deep lake valleys and steep highlands The spring of 2024 is a prolific time for him as he is releasing twin progressive acoustic albums, Banjo Meditations and Banjo Jubilations, and embarking on an Amtrak tour to the west coast and back. https://bennybleu.com.
Alison Steele is a great clawhammer banjo player and singer-songwriter from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, now living in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She performs solo and with the all-female string bands Sugar by the Pound and Coyote Moon (who played for us last December).
BanjerDan (Dan Mazer) is a "banjo-centric" acoustic musician based in Santa Cruz County. His music is an Americana mix, rooted in straight-ahead bluegrass and branching out to folk, country, blues and oldies.
