Fiddling Cricket & Canyon Acoustic Society Present @Ugly Mug Soquel

Join the Dave Holodiloff Duo , featuring Elijah McCullar (violin/banjo) on Thursday August 11th at 7pm at the Ugly Mug in Soquel for an evening of high energy acoustic entertainment! Dave is a virtuoso mandolinist. He also plays guitar and sings and has played for us several times before in configurations ranging from duo to seven-piece band. He has several CD's ranging through, bluegrass, swing, Balkan, Celtic. Gypsy, Latin, Folk Old-Time, and Pop. Dave lives in Monterey. Elijah, a talented violinist in several styles, is from right here in Soquel

Opening for Dave and Elija are Hide Kawatsure (mandolin) and Ian Sly (guitar). Hide was the hot-shot mandolinist in the popular Santa Cruz bluegrass/folk group, Jimmy Chickenpants, who played for Fiddling Cricket several times. He also played for us in a mando/banjo swing duo. Ian Sly is a young talented guitarist from Aptos, currently at Kansas University.
